This image is one of my favorite of 2017 because many people witnessed the solar eclipse. This event occurs in the US rarely, many Americans were in awe by the sight of the moon covering the sun for a few seconds in complete darkness. Thus this event contributed to 2017 because it was a rare event that many americans got to witness first hand. 

This picture symbolizes 2017 greatly because this year a mass shooting occurred in Las Vegas. This was one of the biggest mass shootings in US history, it left many Americans at a country concert injured and in severe conditions. Everyone came together to help Las Vegas overcome this tragedy by donating money and blood to the patients in need. Thus this is an important event that contributed to 2017 because it was one of the biggest mass shootings in history and also showed the community coming together to help the ones in need.

This picture also symbolizes 2017 greatly because this year many hurricanes hit and affected North and South America, including Hurricane Harvey. Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, Texas in August and left houses crushed and severe flooding. The community came together to repair and help the victims of the storm. Thus this is an important event to 2017 because it showed the coming together of a community to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

1. What was the best song of 2017?  

    The best song of 2017 in my opinion was Havana by Camilla Cabello. I chose this as the best song of 2017 because it has stayed in the top 5 on iTunes for many weeks/months, has a catchy beat, and is listened globally everywhere. Camilla Cabello talks about a place in cuba that is very close to her and spreads a strong personal story.

                                         

2. What was the best movie of 2017?

     The  best movie of 2017 is Dunkirk because it displays a rough time for France during World War II. The movie accurately portrays the hardships during World War II and the evacuation process for the ones in France affected by the War. When the German has invades the British and Frances empire the country of Dunkirk is forced to evacuate. Thus this movie is the best of 2017 because it shares a strong message and allows the viewers to sympathize for the hardships faced by the people in Dunkirk during World War II

3. What was the most important news story of the year?

President Trumps inauguration, as one of the most controversial presidents, his inauguration brought lots of attention to President Trump. In his speech he promised the Americans power, this brought lots of attention to his goals as being the US President. Another event that related to the inauguration of President Trump was the women march, this brought attention to women right in the US as trump as the president. Thus, this was the dos important news story of the year because it gave people insight on Trump and gave women a need to protest to retain there rights.        

4. Who was the most important person of 2017 in your opinion? 

The most important person in my opinion of 2017 was Collin Kaepernick because he gave the sports industry a way of standing up to the lives lost begun violence. He gave the football players a right to protest by taking a knee during the pledge. Thus, Collin is one of the most important people of the year because he gave the football players a way of protesting to the violence surrounded in the world around them

The biggest entertainer of 2017 in my opinion was Ed Sheeran because of the dedicated time he put in to get all of his songs in the billboards top 100 and some of his songs on the top 10 of the iTunes chart. He has broke many records with his music and has dropped many albums that have all sky rocketed. Thus Ed Sheeran is the biggest entertainer of 2017 because he has dropped singles and albums that have remained in the top 10 for months, he has dedicated time to please the audience and has released personal songs that reveal his true personality.

Holiday 

1. Tell me what is the one thing that happened on your holiday that you will remember? It can be a trip, a family visit, a present, something fun.
One thing that happened that I will remember is the time spent with my family, we had so much fun renovating our house, going to the trail of lights, and going hiking. I will never forget the time spent with my family this holiday and relaxing at home with them .



2. What are your resolutions for the 2018 year?
My new years resolution for 2018 is to be the best version of myself and be positive. I want to go through with this goals because it will help me succeed in the future and allow myself to be portrayed as a nice person who is willing to help others.



3. What are you looking forward to in 2018?

In 2018 I'm looking forward to see the new technology that comes out and the events that occur this year. 2017 had many events, hopefully 2018 can be one of the most unforgettable years of my life.
