News

On February 22, Akins High School went into lockdown procedure due to a threat to their campus. This was caused by a former student getting onto an AISD bus and making threats towards the school. When the bus arrived the former student continued to threaten, he was reported. Later, after the lockdown, no one was injured and everyone remained safe.

Commentary

In America, school shootings are becoming more common and the topic of arming teachers is becoming a talked about topic. Many people believe teachers should not be armed because it can  be very dangerous while others think that teachers should be harmed because it will prevent students from school shootings.

Nicholas Stamper, a former teacher at Bowie, has decided to go teach overseas to Kazakhstan. Stamper has learned so much about teaching foreign students in a foreign country but continues to miss Bowie students and staff.

The new movie, love, simon is sure to be on e of the best movies for teenagers. It is about a 17 year old teen struggling to come out with the pressures of high school. The review about the movie is good because the people reviewing it enjoyed the humor and the lesson that can be taught in the movie.

3. If you were a photographer on staff, which event/photo assignment would you have liked to do for this issue? You will need to look through the entire paper and see the topics covered and decide which one you think would have been fun.
